Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Mountaineers vs. Doddridge County Bulldogs

Liberty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They secured a 55-50 W over Petersburg.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Doddridge County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Moorefield, posting a 74-39 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Doddridge County's win came from a few key players Liberty will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Blake Mitchell, who shot 71% from the field en route to 14 points and five rebounds. Landon Thomas was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Doddridge County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Doddridge County pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 11-12.
