Volleyball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Canyon Hills Rattlers

The High Tech SD Storm will challenge the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon Hills took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on High Tech SD, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, High Tech SD earned a 3-1 win over Mission Bay. The victory continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won six in a row.

High Tech SD had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Canyon Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Mira Mesa.

Canyon Hills was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mira Mesa work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 25-21.

High Tech SD's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Canyon Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

High Tech SD was able to grind out a solid victory over Canyon Hills when the teams last played on April 8th, winning 3-1. Do the Storm have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rattlers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
