Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northland Prep Academy). They breezed by the Many Farms Lobos to the tune of 83-51 on Thursday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Lobos are ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northland Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Joiner out in front who went 9 for 17 on his way to 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Joiner a new career-high in blocks (two). Simon Pickup was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 15 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Northland Prep Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Northland Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
