Basketball Recap: Conestoga Christian Takes a Loss

Conestoga Christian lost against Ephrata Mennonite back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between the Conestoga Christian Cougars and the Ephrata Mennonite Legends didn't end well, with the Conestoga Christian Cougars falling 60-46. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Legends 10-6 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Conestoga Christian still got an impressive performance from Josh Boutaugh, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. That was a full 39.1% of Conestoga Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Shrom, who put up nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Conestoga Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Ephrata Mennonite, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing High Point Baptist Academy the next time they take the court. Conestoga Christian will head out to face High Point Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Ephrata Mennonite will host them at 8:00 p.m. on January 14th.
