Volleyball Recap: Concordia Academy Takes a Loss

Concordia Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the New Life Academy Eagles. The Beacons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 22-25, 25-20.

Concordia Academy's offense was headlined by Ella Bohren and Jessa Pizinger, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Evelyn Brown and her 20 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Concordia Academy now has a losing record of 9-10. As for New Life Academy, their record is now 13-2.

Coming up, Concordia Academy will face off against Apple Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Life Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Visitation on the 3rd.
