While Melrose-Mindoro didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Cashton Eagles 11-3 on Saturday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Melrose-Mindoro's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Cashton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Melrose-Mindoro has already played their next game, an 8-4 victory against Luther on the 26th. As for Cashton, they will challenge Brookwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
