Vail Christian came into Wednesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

Vail Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-9, 22-25, 25-21.

Ian Salyer paced Vail Christian's offense, picking up 18 kills. Salyer got some help from Daniel Parez and his 46 assists. Finally, Max Litviakov kept Vail Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Despite the loss, Aurora West College Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Adrian Arellano, who had 19 digs and one assist. Arellano has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Vail Christian's record now sits at 6-7. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Vail Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Addenbrooke Classical Academy on the 17th. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Alameda on the 18th.
