Basketball Recap: St. John-Vianney's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rumson-Fair Haven, St. John-Vianney was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They snuck past the Manchester Township Hawks with a 48-42 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lancers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

St. John-Vianney's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Manchester Township, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

St. John-Vianney and Manchester Township could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. St. John-Vianney (ranked 267th) will meet Red Bank Regional (ranked 23rd) at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Manchester Township will face off against Central Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 325 places (347 vs. 22).
