Basketball Recap: Archbishop McNicholas Takes a Loss

Archbishop McNicholas and Badin squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Archbishop McNicholas had to settle for second. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Badin Rams. The Rockets have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Archbishop McNicholas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grant Waters went 8-for-16 on his way to 23 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Waters has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Charlie Clark, who scored nine points.

Archbishop McNicholas' defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Badin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Archbishop McNicholas nor Badin have any future games scheduled.
