Softball Recap: Scottsdale Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Scottsdale Christian Academy challenged Fountain Hills on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Falcons, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Caitlyn Troxell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. Ella Ott also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fountain Hills, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

While Scottsdale Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
