Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview and Columbia squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Ridgeview had to settle for second. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Ridgeview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Sears, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Columbia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-10.

Ridgeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia, they will take on Fleming Island at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.4, the Golden Eagles 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
