Baseball Recap: Schuylerville Comes Up Short

Schuylerville fell victim to South Glens Falls and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Monday.

Schuylerville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Renner, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Schuylerville and nudges their season record down to 6-3-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for South Glens Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Schuylerville will head out on the road to take on Amsterdam at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Glens Falls, they will host Broadalbin-Perth at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
