Baseball Recap: Greenway Demons vs. Goldwater Bulldogs
Greenway was the 16-0 winner over Goldwater when they last played one another back in March of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. Greenway fell just short of Goldwater by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday. The Demons just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.
Tyler McNally made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Myer, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Even though they lost, Greenway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goldwater only posted an OBP of .429.
Greenway's record is now 2-6. As for Goldwater, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Greenway beat Goldwater by a score of 21-7 on Thursday.
