Volleyball Recap: Kossuth Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Kossuth barely beat Pine Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Aggies blew past the Panthers 3-0 on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Aggies as they're now sitting on five straight.

Kossuth never let Pine Grove on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-17.

Dallyn Haupt paced Kossuth's offense, picking up 20 kills. Haupt got some help from Brenyn Wilbanks and her 31 assists. Wilbanks was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Kossuth's record now sits at 20-4-2. As for Pine Grove, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7-2.

Kossuth and Pine Grove should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Aggies will face off against Mantachie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (19 vs. 106). Meanwhile, Pine Grove (ranked 40th) will meet Jumpertown (ranked 231st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
