 Valhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. Their  rough  7-1 defeat to the Rancho Bernardo Broncos  might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Valhalla of the  10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  on March 11th.
  Avery Voth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 On Rancho Bernardo's side,  Zoey Meadows spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Meadows has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Kendall Luna de la Fuente, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matilda Messer, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Valhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Rancho Bernardo, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record  this season.
 Valhalla will head out on the road to  face off against  Eastlake at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Valhalla has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Rancho Bernardo, they will head out on the road to  take on  Cathedral Catholic at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Cathedral Catholic: 1.2, Rancho Bernardo: 3.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
