Soccer Recap: Southwestern Randolph Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Southwestern Randolph and Randleman have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 5-1. Southwestern Randolph were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Ashlynn Harbor, who's now up to 17 this season.

Southwestern Randolph's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Randleman, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Southwestern Randolph will welcome Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Southwestern Randolph will be up against Eastern Randolph's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.07 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Randleman, they have already played their next game, a 9-0 win against Carver on the 24th.
