Baseball Recap: Whitehall Comes Up Short

Whitehall fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Melrose-Mindoro on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 11-10. That's two games in a row now that the Norse have lost by just one run.

Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Melrose-Mindoro, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Whitehall will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Augusta at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Melrose-Mindoro, they will face off against Westby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Norsemen will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
