Game recap: Assumption High School Football Team bests Muscatine

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Assumption (Davenport, Iowa) extended its winning streak to five games with a 35-14 victory over Muscatine (Iowa) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Kolton O'Day touchdown run in the first quarter, the Knights were up 21-0 at the half.

Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and the fourth quarter began with the margin still at 21.

Assumption came into the game allowing 9.7 points per game.



The loss was the third in a row for the Muskies.

In its next matchup Muscatine (3-4) will take on North Scott in a 4A Mississippi game. The Lancers will bring a record of 3-3 into the meeting.
