Softball Recap: Mary Walker Takes a Loss

If Mary Walker was feeling good fresh off their 27-7 takedown of Wellpinit last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers came up short against the Inchelium Hornets on Tuesday, falling 23-8. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Mary Walker now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Inchelium, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mary Walker will head out to challenge Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Inchelium, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Roosevelt at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
