Basketball Recap: Atrisco Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Atrisco Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by the Cleveland Storm 59-17. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.

Atrisco Heritage Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Destiny Yapor, who posted four points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Yapor has posted since back in January of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Malia Mose, who had 17 points and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Savannah Madueno was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Atrisco Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Cleveland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Atrisco Heritage Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-37 loss against West Mesa on the 8th. As for Cleveland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-40 defeat against Sandia on the 8th.
