Basketball Recap: Camas Valley Has No Trouble Against Days Creek

Camas Valley posted their biggest victory since January 11th on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 58-34 margin over the Days Creek Wolves. The Hornets pushed the score to 47-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolves cut but never quite recovered from.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shaleigh Lynn, who posted ten points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Lynn a new career-high in points. Jazmine Estrada was another key player, putting up five points along with seven boards and three steals.

Camas Valley pushed their record up to 10-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points over those games. As for Days Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

Camas Valley has already played their next game (against Milo Adventist Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Days Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-48 victory against Glendale on the 8th.
