Soccer Recap: South Gibson Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, South Gibson was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, South Gibson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Lausanne Collegiate are ranked 16th).

South Gibson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-1 record this season.

South Gibson will venture away from home to face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Gibson will be up against Trinity Christian Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.11 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they will welcome Pleasant View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lausanne Collegiate is facing Pleasant View at the right time seeing as Pleasant View is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
