The Paulding Panthers and the Wayne Trace Raiders will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paulding is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.

On Saturday, Paulding was fully in charge, breezing past Montpelier 51-14. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

It was another big night for Estie Pease, who shot 50% from the field en route to 11 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Manz, who posted eight points.

Paulding smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, the stars were shining brightly for Wayne Trace in a 58-41 victory over Van Wert on Tuesday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wayne Trace, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
