Baseball Game Preview: Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils vs. Clearfield Bison

The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Clearfield Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellwood-Antis has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight defeats, while Clearfield will come in with three straight victories.

On Monday, Bellwood-Antis came up short against Central and fell 13-9.

Hunter Kyle and Landon Sneath stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kyle went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Sneath went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Bellwood-Antis is 2-1 when Sneath posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Swogger, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Clearfield had just enough and edged out Bald Eagle Area 2-1 on Monday.

Clearfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Wriglesworth, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Bellwood-Antis' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Clearfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Bellwood-Antis came out on top in a nail-biter against Clearfield in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
