Baseball Game Preview: Davis Darts vs. Farmington Phoenix

For the second straight game, Davis will face off against Farmington. The Darts will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Davis has six straight victories, Farmington has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Davis sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Farmington.

For Farmington's part, Josh Hecht spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

Davis pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Farmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.
