Recap: Monrovia Wildcats vs. Troy Warriors
After a string of three wins, The Monrovia Wildcats''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 41-28 to Troy. Monrovia was down 34-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Ellison, who picked up 177 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ellison hasn't dropped below 100 receiving yards for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Salazar Jr, who threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns.
Ethan Mundt was a one-man wrecking crew for Troy as he rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Declan Kai healey was in the mix too, providing Troy with two touchdowns.
Monrovia's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Troy, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-4.
Monrovia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Troy also has no future games currently scheduled.
