Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emma Rumsey and Mikaela Elliott Lead Antelope to Victory

After losing to Center the last time they met, Antelope decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Titans walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cougars on Wednesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Antelope was led to victory by Mikaela Elliott and Emma Rumsey. Elliott had 34 digs, while Rumsey had 15 digs and three aces. Those 15 digs gave Rumsey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bhavana(Palvie) Kaur, who had 11 assists and four digs.

Antelope's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Center, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Center, they will venture away from home to face off against Colfax at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
