Volleyball Recap: Tell City's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tell City had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Southwestern Rebels. This was payback for the Marksmen, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kendall Lane paced Tell City's offense, picking up six kills. Lane got some help from Ollie Toothman and her ten assists. Finally, Haley Braun kept Tell City's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Southwestern lost, don't look at Jocelyn Johnson. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and one assist.

Tell City's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Southwestern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Tell City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Southwestern, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Evansville Christian on the 13th.
