Softball Recap: Peabody Has No Trouble Against West Carroll

Peabody not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 3rd. They put the hurt on the West Carroll War Eagles with a sharp 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Tide in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Izzie Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Peabody was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Carroll only posted a batting average of .000.

Peabody's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for West Carroll, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Peabody will welcome Westview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peabody's pitchers better be ready for this one: Westview has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for West Carroll, they will head out to challenge Clarksburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
