Baseball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. Canton fell just short of Scotland County by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that Canton has lost by just one run.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Scotland County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will face off against Palmyra at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Scotland County, they will square off against Schuyler County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
