Basketball Recap: Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators vs. Santa Rosa Christian
Gulf Pointe Latin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-34 heartbreaker at the hands of Santa Rosa Christian. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Santa Rosa Christian this season, with their most recent defeat being a 53-32 loss back in January.
Gulf Pointe Latin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rebekah Thompson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Lothringer, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.
