Volleyball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Riverside

There's no place like home for Riverside, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Palmer Tigers 3-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Riverside won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Tessa Weltruski and Michelle Esch, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Molt and her 29 assists. Brooklyn Weltruski and Addy Seamann kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Riverside pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Palmer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Riverside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Osceola on the 2nd. As for Palmer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Fullerton on the 2nd.
