Softball Recap: Battlefield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Osbourn on Thursday, Battlefield came back down to earth. The Bobcats came up short against the Lightridge Bolts on Friday, falling 12-1.

Battlefield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Wolf, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Battlefield's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Lightridge, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Battlefield will take on Patriot at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pioneers have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Lightridge, they will square off against Potomac Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bolts are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
