Fountain Valley hasn't had much luck against Los Alamitos recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Barons will welcome the Griffins at 3:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fountain Valley was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Corona del Mar on Tuesday. The Barons never let the Sea Kings get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Barons, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Mazy Ascasio was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
