Basketball Recap: Thompson Comes Up Short

Thompson was the 72-54 winner over East Grand Forks when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Tommies took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Wave on Thursday.

Thompson has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for East Grand Forks, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Thompson will welcome Sacred Heart at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Grand Forks, they and Ada-Borup/Norman County West will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
