Oakland-Craig had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Howells-Dodge Jaguars. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Oakland-Craig never let Howells-Dodge on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.

Briar Ray paced Oakland-Craig's offense, picking up 22 kills. Ray got some help from Mia Thomsen and her 36 assists. Ray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oakland-Craig will take on Lutheran-Northeast in a tournament on Thursday. As for Howells-Dodge, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Winside on the 30th.
