Volleyball Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Princeton was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Spring Creek on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Golden Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Princeton ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Taylor Holmes paced Princeton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Holmes got some help from Addison Taylor and her 28 assists. Finally, Kensley Evans kept Princeton's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

C.B. Aycock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Moyer, who had 21 digs and two aces. Moyer has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Jenkins, who had 16 assists and two aces.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for C.B. Aycock, they pushed their record up to 9-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Princeton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Goldsboro on the 30th. As for C.B. Aycock, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Rocky Mount on the 30th.
