Football Recap: Grantsville Comes Up Short on the Road Against San Juan

Grantsville had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. The match between the Cowboys and the San Juan Broncos didn't end well, with the Cowboys falling 26-7. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Jagger Nieves went supernova For San Juan., rushing for 114 yards and three TDs, while also picking up 128 receiving yards. Nieves also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Tripp Palmer was another key player, picking up 152 receiving yards.

Coming up, Grantsville will venture away from home to challenge Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Juan, they will host Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
