Softball Recap: Jackson Victorious

Jackson never let their opponents score on Monday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Southern Tornadoes.

The result came thanks to Serenity Taylor's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lillie Eberts, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maddie Wright, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Southern, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

Jackson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-0 loss against Wheelersburg on the 14th. As for Southern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Meigs on the 15th.
