It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lourdes Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Gulf Coast Sharks 3-0. Lourdes Academy is really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.
Lourdes Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-17.
Juliette Vazquez-Bello paced Lourdes Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Vazquez-Bello got some help from Jenna Acosta and her 18 assists.
Lourdes Academy's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Gulf Coast, they moved to 22-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
