Soccer Recap: Eureka Takes a Loss

After flying high against Parkway South on Monday, Eureka came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Lafayette Lancers by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lafayette this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-2. As for Lafayette, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

Eureka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lafayette, they will welcome Marquette at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette are on a four-game streak of home wins, Marquette a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
