Thousand Oaks hadn't done well against Oaks Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Lions 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Lions back in March, they had to take a 11-9 loss.

Faith Goldfield was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlene Bonilla, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Thousand Oaks and bumps their season record up to 13-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Oaks Christian, they moved to 9-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Thousand Oaks is set to square off against their familiar foe Newbury Park at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Oaks Christian will take on rival Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
