Michael Ahern was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 18 en route to 35 points plus six rebounds and two steals for Capistrano Valley Christian. The match was Ahern's third in a row with at least ten points. Benjamin Makelela was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Eagle Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
