It was fun while it lasted, but Verona's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caldwell Chiefs. The loss was the Hillbillies' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Verona fell to 3-1. As for Caldwell, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Verona will host West Essex at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caldwell, they will face off against Newark Central at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Caldwell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
