Volleyball Recap: Northwest Whitfield Comes Up Short

Northwest Whitfield was the 2-0 winner over Christian Heritage when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Jenna Quinn paced Northwest Whitfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Quinn got some help from Megan Torbett and her 20 assists. Makyna Greeson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northwest Whitfield's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Christian Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 7-17.

Northwest Whitfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on the 20th. As for Christian Heritage, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Sonoraville on the 20th.
