Baseball Game Recap: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. El Capitan Vaqueros

Mira Mesa might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was El Capitan who claimed the real prize. The Marauders wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vaqueros from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Ziggy Avinion was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Avinion was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
