Preview: Glenn Falcons vs. Elkhart Lions
Glenn is 0-3 against Elkhart since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Glenn Falcons are on the road again and play against the Elkhart Lions at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Glenn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Glenn proved. They enjoyed a cozy 45-29 win over South Bend Clay. Given Glenn's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while South Bend Clay is ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Addison Reese, who scored 18 points along with 6 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre Weddington, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, Elkhart were a bit more limited in their match last Tuesday. They took a 39-21 bruising from Northridge. Elkhart has struggled against Northridge recently, as their contest last Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Glenn's win bumped their season record to 6-3 while South Bend Clay's defeat dropped theirs to 0-9.
Glenn came up short against Elkhart in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 40-35. Can Glenn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
