Basketball Recap: Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Comes Up Short

Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Cannon Cougars and fell 114-70. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-30.

Despite the loss, Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Kaden Patterson, who posted 27 points. The contest was Patterson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Elijah Chambers was another key player, putting up seven points along with five boards and four steals.

Kenan Dixon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cannon, going 12 of 19 from beyond the arc on his way to 40 points. Dixon is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Nix, who went 10 of 14 on his way to 24 points and six rebounds.

Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cannon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy and Glenn will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on December 26th. Cannon will take on Community School of Davidson in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cannon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
