Basketball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 58-39 to the Priory Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Pumas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 66th in Arizona, while the Panthers are ranked 16th in California).

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Priory, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Perry will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Basha at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Priory will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Pinewood at 5:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
