Recap: Frostproof Bulldogs vs. Hardee Wildcats
The Frostproof Bulldogs waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Hardee with points to spare, taking the game 78-60. Given Frostproof's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Hardee is ranked 646th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sevastian Rosado continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 37 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Frostproof's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Turral Berry, who scored 22 points.
Despite the loss, Hardee still got an impressive performance from Phoenix Romeo, who scored 22 points. Romeo has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Samuel Teape was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Frostproof pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hardee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
Frostproof will be playing at home against Hardee at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hardee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Frostproof likes a good challenge. As for Hardee, they will head out on the road to challenge Frostproof at 8:00 p.m. Frostproof has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
